OUR WORKSHOP
Tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains, we built our 1,200-square-foot workshop from the ground up. Surrounded by mountains and the beauty of nature, it’s more than just a workspace—it’s a place where creativity, imagination, and craftsmanship come together to bring each of our handcrafted creations to life. With over ten years of woodworking experience, we are passionate about our craft and take pride in creating pieces that bring joy to others.

Meet The Artisans
Carlos Imery
Drifter Woodworks started simply—just a love for building things the right way.
Carlos Imery, originally from Venezuela, has spent over a decade working with wood, learning through experience and steadily refining his craft. A true DIY enthusiast, he approaches every project with curiosity and precision—always asking how things work and how they can be built better. His interests go beyond woodworking into technology, engineering, and sound, all of which shape the way he thinks and builds. In the shop, he’s hands-on from start to finish, turning raw materials into pieces that are practical, durable, and built to last. His work reflects not just skill, but a steady curiosity and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way

Crystal Imery
Crystal Imery is behind the scenes helping shape ideas, sketching out designs, and keeping things moving. She adds perspective where it’s needed and helps bring a bit of character into each project.
Together, it’s a small operation built on honest work, patience, and a respect for the craft. Nothing rushed, nothing overcomplicated—just good work made to be used and appreciated.

Live edge slabs are the foundation of handcrafted furniture that showcases the natural edge of the tree rather than cutting it straight. When you choose a table made from live edge slabs, you are buying a piece that highlights organic curves, knots, and grain patterns that cannot be replicated. Unlike mass-produced furniture, no two live edge slabs are ever the same, which means your table is truly one-of-a-kind. Here in Virginia, many live edge slabs come from hardwoods like walnut, maple, oak, and cherry—trees that thrive in our region and hold up well to everyday use.
