About Us
Drifter Woodworks started simply—just a love for building things
Carlos Imery has spent over a decade working with wood, learning through experience and steadily refining his craft. A true DIY enthusiast, he approaches every project with curiosity and precision—always asking how things work and how they can be built better. His interests go beyond woodworking into technology, engineering, and sound, all of which shape the way he thinks and builds. In the shop, he’s hands-on from start to finish, turning raw materials into pieces that are practical, durable, and built to last. His work reflects not just skill, but a steady curiosity and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way
Crystal Imery is the creative side of Drifter Woodworks, specializing in scroll saw art and pyrography. Her work is inspired by nature, wildlife, motorcycles, and the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. She enjoys combining different woodworking techniques to create original pieces which have movement and character.
Together, it’s a small operation built on honest work, patience, and a respect for the craft. Nothing rushed, nothing overcomplicated—just good work made to be used and appreciated.
Our Philosophy
At Drifter Woodworks, we blend design and craftsmanship with inspiration from the natural world, creating handcrafted wood furniture and custom pieces right here in Virginia. Serving Lynchburg, Roanoke, and the surrounding areas, every piece we make is more than furniture or art—it’s a story, a memory, and a reflection of the beauty around us, built to bring warmth and character into your home.
